Coastal Atlas five-year permit coverage request
Window: November 3, 2021 through November 3, 2026

Please provide an existing electronic export, preferably CSV or XLSX, of building and planning records with any application, approval, issuance, inspection, final, certificate of occupancy, cancellation, expiration or other status activity during this window. Include records applied for before the window if they remained active or had activity within it.

Include individual accessory dwelling units and junior accessory dwelling units, single-family and multifamily housing, additions, alterations, remodels, roofing, solar, batteries, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, demolition, grading, fire systems, commercial work and public capital projects. Please identify withdrawn, denied, expired, canceled and superseded records as well as approved or completed work.

Requested existing fields: unique permit or application ID, parent project and related permit IDs, public site address, APN, work description, permit type and work class, current status and status date, application/approval/issue/final/occupancy dates, last inspection date and result, unit counts (with definitions), and public record or document URL. Names of residents, personal contact information and payment details are not needed.

Please provide the export's as-of date, definitions of status/date fields, geographic scope, and any known missing historical records. If a complete existing export is unavailable, identify available periods and formats. Please notify the requester before incurring fees. Do not start fee-bearing custom programming without separate authorization.

PRIORITY GAPS BY JURISDICTION

Arroyo Grande:
Complete non-housing and minor-work permit ledger for the entire window, plus 2026 housing activity. The state housing annual report is a subset and does not replace the city's building permit register. Public Citizenserve access did not expose a citywide export during this review.

Grover Beach:
November 3 through December 31, 2021; January through August 2026; October 1 through November 3, 2026. Also current status, final/occupancy dates and parent-project relationships for issued permits in the reviewed 2022-2025 and September 2026 ledgers.

Pismo Beach, including Shell Beach:
November 3 through December 31, 2021 and October 1 through November 3, 2026. A complete register for 2022 through September 2026 would help verify report coverage and any omitted or overlapping months. Current final/occupancy dates and status history are needed to reconcile issued-permit reports.

San Luis Obispo:
Full construction-permit activity after April 7, 2025 through November 3, 2026, including minor work, and current status updates for older permits. The public Citizen Connect export inspected during this audit stops at April 7, 2025. State housing annual reporting extends housing activity through 2025 but excludes many alterations and all 2026 reporting.

San Luis Obispo County, Oceano:
A complete permit register with issuance, inspection, final, cancellation and current-status fields for Oceano. The public GIS import captures spatially mapped applications dated within the window, but not necessarily older applications with later activity or permits missing GIS geometry. Include community/location fields so records can be reconciled against the atlas's Oceano boundary.
