Area and layout: Gold outlines/shading identify assessor parcels explicitly named in project sources. They are not automatically construction footprints. Cyan outlines and aligned plans are approximate interpretations of published drawings for records 2 and 12. The original drawings remain available. Neither the map nor the alignment is a legal survey.
Actual source visuals: Drawings, renderings, simulations and photographs are reproduced from city, county, environmental-review or project-sponsor materials. A rendering shows design intent, not completed construction. Older drawings and shared master-plan illustrations are labeled. Original source documents may contain later revisions or conditions not visible in one selected sheet.
Aerial context: Saved Esri World Imagery covers every record and city view. Capture dates are not verified, so aerials do not establish present construction progress. Retrieved November 3, 2026. Credits: Esri, Vantor, Earthstar Geographics, and the GIS User Community. Aerial resolution varies by zoom and saved view.
Impact notes: The plain-language readings explain the documented program and visible layout. Numerical findings are attributed to their source. No new traffic, shadow, view, noise or property-value analysis was performed. Where final environmental findings are unavailable, the uncertainty remains visible.
Places: Shell Beach is part of Pismo Beach. Oceano is unincorporated. Cal Poly, airport projects and nearby county sites retain their actual jurisdictions. Dashed lines show legal city limits. Community view frames are not invented municipal boundaries.
Location limits: A pin is a representative location, not a surveyed building corner. Some projects share a point or contain several phases. Source-listed parcels can cover a whole campus while the work occupies only one part. Full footprints have not been verified for every record.
Coverage: All 143 records have context imagery. 73 records have at least one published drawing or photograph, including shared master-plan images where labeled. The gallery contains 137 record-image associations using 133 distinct source images. Missing plans are left explicit. Complete permit/inspection histories, all appeals and final financing were not obtained for every project.
Offline use: Keep this HTML file beside the visual-assets folder. Maps, records and selected images are saved locally. Original-source links require internet. The earlier printable map book contains outline maps and research details; this visual atlas adds the aerials and drawings.
Geographic sources: county roads, city limits, assessor parcels, county outline, and Esri World Imagery.
